How do I connect my Google account?
Today the App reads your reviews via the Google Places API: just paste your Place ID in the App panel (inside Shopify Admin → Apps → Google Reviews). You can find your Place ID with the official Google Place ID Finder. Soon we will also support connecting your account directly via OAuth to bring in all of your reviews (today we are limited to 5 per query).
How many reviews are shown in the widget?
For now up to 5 reviews per listing, which is the maximum the Google Places API returns. The widget header shows the overall total and average rating. Once Google enables our access to the Business Profile API we will be able to show all of them.
What is the "AI summary" and how is it generated?
It is a short paragraph automatically generated by Google's Gemini from the text of the reviews. It is regenerated each time you sync and is designed to highlight what is most recurrent without inventing anything: if the reviews are critical, the summary will reflect it tactfully.
Can I customize the widget design?
Yes. Once installed, go to your theme editor and add the "Google Reviews" block wherever you want. You can adjust the business logo and the number of cards visible in the carousel. The rating, the reviews and the summary always come from the App (they are not manually editable, to keep the widget's credibility).
How often are the reviews updated?
Automatically, each time a visitor loads a page with the widget and more than one hour has passed since the last sync. The update happens in the background without slowing the store. You can also force a manual sync from the App panel with the "Sync now" button.
How much does it cost?
15 days free without a card. After the trial, $3.99/month or $39.99/year (save ~17%). You can switch between monthly and annual billing from inside the app at any time. Cancel by uninstalling — billing is handled by Shopify directly through your merchant account.
What happens to my data if I uninstall the App?
48 hours after uninstalling, Shopify sends us the
shop/redact webhook and we delete all data associated with your store. If you want to speed up the deletion, email us at hola@ubicuolibrespensadores.com and we will do it in less than 72 hours. Full details in the privacy policy.The widget is not loading reviews on my store
Check the following, in order:
- In the App panel, the status must be Connected. If not, paste the Place ID and save.
- Press "Sync now". A green message should appear with the number of reviews fetched.
- Verify that in the theme editor you have added the "Google Reviews" block on the page where you expect it.
- Refresh the public page with Cmd+Shift+R / Ctrl+Shift+R.
